North American coffee giant Starbucks has already opened more than 7,000 stores on the Chinese mainland. The information was released by Belinda Wong, president and CEO of the company’s Chinese arm, on Wednesday. She also stated that the brand is dedicated to reaching the goal of 9 thousand stores on the mainland by 2025.

The year 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Starbucks’ entry into China. Wong noted that the company will accelerate its expansion into more communities, with the aim of providing high-quality coffee and the exclusive experience to a wider range of customers.

Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan said development in China is showing strong momentum and the company aims to be the best in the country’s premium coffee market.
