Beijing Municipality is seeing more snow this Thursday, with a cold wave expected to hit the Chinese capital this Friday. According to the Meteorological Observatory, the average rainfall in the city from 5 am to midnight on Wednesday was 2.7 mm, with an average of 3.1 mm in the urban area.

The weather forecast also indicated that the highest temperature in the city this Thursday was just minus 2 degrees Celsius and the minimum was minus 5 degrees. After this round of snow, which is expected to end this Friday, the city will be hit by a cold wave, with minimum temperatures expected to drop below minus 10 degrees at night.

The city remains on orange alert for heavy snow, yellow alert for icy roads and blue alert for cold waves.
