The PEAK Pinoy Team of the Embassy of the Philippines, in collaboration with the Philippine-Korea Economic Council (PHILKOREC), organized the 13th Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship Promotion Seminar for Overseas Filipinos in Korea (PEAK-Pinoy) titled “ Business Tips for Filipinos in Korea” on August 20 at the Rizal Sentro of the Philippine Embassy.
Guest speakers included Mr. Robert L. Yupangco, Chairman of the Philippines-Korea Economic Council and Chairman of Zoomanity Group Corporation, Ms. Grace Bondad Nicolas, Co-Founder and COO of Tag Media Group and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Los Baños, Ms. Rhoda Castro-Caliwara, President of Executive Genesis Service Inc. and Mr. Fabian K. Delos Santos Jr. Head of Taxation of SGV & Co.

In her welcome speech, Ambassador Theresa Dizon-De Vega said that PEAK Pinoy is the flagship program of the Philippine Embassy in Seoul organized and implemented through the joint effort of six adjoining agencies working together to promote an entrepreneurial mindset to the OFs in Korea to support the national reintegration program of the Philippine government.
He added that “PEAK-Pinoy” also represented the aspiration of overseas Filipinos to reach a goal and realize their full potential. More than 70 members of the Filipino community attended the seminar held in a hybrid format.

Speakers shared tips on how and when to start a business, overcome challenges, learn from failure, the importance of mentoring and continuous learning, and how to choose the right business for overseas Filipinos.
