Ingredients

500g ground meat (can be beef, pork or a mix)

1/2 chopped onion

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 ovo

1/2 cup bread crumbs or breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons of milk

Salt and pepper to taste

Seasonings to taste (such as chopped parsley, oregano, paprika, etc.)

Ham slices

Cheese slices (e.g. mozzarella cheese)

Cooked carrot (optional)

Preparation mode
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, bread crumbs (or breadcrumbs), milk and seasonings of your choice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix all the ingredients until they are well incorporated and the meat mixture is homogeneous.
- Roll out the meat mixture on a clean surface or a sheet of aluminum foil into a rectangle, forming an even layer.
- If desired, add slices of ham, cheese and other toppings, such as carrots or spinach, over the meat.
- Carefully roll the meat over the filling, forming a roulade. Use aluminum foil (or parchment paper) to help wrap the meat tightly.
- Place the meat roulade on a greased baking tray or lined with aluminum foil.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for around 30 to 40 minutes, or until the meat is cooked on the inside and golden on the outside.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before cutting into slices and serving.
- Serve the beef roulade with a sauce of your choice, such as tomato sauce, gravy, or a sauce of your choice.
