The Supreme People’s Court (STP), China’s highest court, released typical cases of pet-related problems, with the aim of promoting responsible pet ownership.

The six cases cover incidents ranging from dog attacks caused by negligent owners to disputes over the breeding of large dogs, which are prohibited in urban areas.

In a note, the STP reaffirmed its commitment to formulating and improving judicial interpretations in this area. The court aims to guide dog owners across the country toward a greater sense of social and legal responsibility by emphasizing the importance of complying with existing laws and regulations.
