This onion salad is the perfect barbecue accompaniment!


  • 2 onions

  • 2 tablespoons of salt

  • 1 finger pepper

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

  • 1/4 cup (tea) vinegar

  • 1/4 cup (tea) olive oil

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Green scent to taste

  • Salt to taste

Preparation mode

  • Peel the onions, remove the ends and cut them into very thin slices.
  • Place the slices in a container with water and salt and leave to soak for 40 minutes.
  • Drain the water from the sauce and dry the slices well with paper towels.
  • Cut the pepper in half, remove all the seeds and chop it into small pieces.
  • Add the onion slices, chopped pepper and chopped green chilli in a container.
  • Add black pepper, salt, oil, sugar and vinegar.
  • Mix well and the onion salad is ready to eat.
