On an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, a high-level delegation from Thailand arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The objective of the visit is to improve cooperation in various sectors, especially in economic and cross-border activities. Both countries aim to reach a trade value of US$15 billion by 2025.

Thai Prime Minister visits Cambodia

The Thai delegation, led by Prime Minister and Finance Minister Srettha Thavisin, includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara and Digital Economy and Society Minister Prasert Jantararuangtong. They were officially received by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. A bilateral meeting was held to discuss various issues.

Both countries aim to reach a trade value of US$15 billion by 2025.

Government spokesperson Chai Watcharong revealed that the main objective of the talks was to promote economic cooperation for the benefit of both nations. This includes modernizing border checkpoints between Thailand and Cambodia, improving rail freight transport between the two countries, and facilitating tourism and cross-border travel through the use of temporary border passes to improve public convenience.
