Thailand will host the Asia International Hemp Expo 2023 in November, which will showcase products from the cannabis and hemp-related industries, following the legalization of these plants.
The Asia International Hemp Expo 2023 will be held in Bangkok from November 22 to 25 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. It will feature products and innovations from the medical industry, the food and beverage industry, the nutritional supplement industry, the cosmetics and cosmeceutical industry, the automotive industry, the construction industry and the pet industry. It will also show the country’s capacity in hemp and cannabis production.
There will be seminars with panels of experts from 12 countries covering all aspects of cannabis and hemp, along with business negotiation sessions between Thai companies and foreign investors.

This exhibition is expected to attract about 10,000 participants from around the world and generate about 8 billion baht of cash flow.

Mr. Pornchai Padmindra, President of the Thai Industrial Hemp Trade Association, stated that hemp and cannabis-related businesses and industries have seen continuous growth, and the number of registered cannabis and hemp cultivators currently stands at 1.1 million.
According to the Food and Drug Administration, there are about 1,000 registered products related to hemp and cannabis, 77% of which are in the cosmetics industry, followed by food and nutritional supplements, at 19%, and products to herbal base, with 4%.
The market value of hemp and cannabis in Thailand was recorded at 8.48 billion baht last year. This value is expected to reach 73 billion baht in 2027.
