China registered a significant increase in the refill infrastructure for electric vehicles by 2024, totaling 12.82 million posts across the country, according to the Chinese Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers. The number represents a growth of 49.1% over the previous year, driven by the advancement of new energy vehicles (NEVs).

Of this total, 3.58 million points are public use, while 9.24 million are private. Only in 2024, more than 4.22 million new porters were installed, following the increase in the production and sale of NEVs, which exceeded 12 million units in the year.

China follows the largest global electric vehicle market for the tenth consecutive year, reinforcing its leadership in the transition to more sustainable mobility.
