The China Ministry of Commerce has again asked for the United States to completely cancel the practice of so -called “reciprocal tariffs” and return to the path of dialogue with mutual respect and equality.
The statement came after Washington announced a memorandum that exempts products such as computers, smartphones, semiconductor manufacturing equipment and integrated circuits of additional tariffs. According to a Chinese ministry spokesman, the measure is only “a small step” towards the correction of unilateral practices that did not solve the US internal problems and instead impaired the global and everyday economy of people.
China considers that there are no winners in commercial wars and reiterates its position against protectionism. The spokesman has asked the US to hear the rational voices of both the international community and its society, and take concrete measures to correct errors and stabilize bilateral economic and commercial relations.
