  • 2 cups chopped walnuts

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • A bit of salt

Preparation mode

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • Spread the chopped walnuts on a baking tray and place in the oven for about 5-7 minutes to lightly toast them. This enhances the flavor of the nuts. Reserve.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs lightly and add the milk, melted butter and vanilla essence. Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Add the toasted walnuts to the batter and mix gently until they are evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
