China’s Ministry of Commerce is holding an online shopping festival during the Lunar New Year celebration period, which began on January 18 and will end on February 17 this year.

Various online promotions will be offered for consumers to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on February 10, 2024, according to the ministry.

These online promotions will provide consumers with more choices, said He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, on Thursday at a press conference.

Promotions include product launches in Beijing, live-streamed e-commerce sales activities in Tianjin and a “Lunar New Year intangible cultural heritage shopping festival” in Zhejiang, according to the spokesperson.
