The Indonesian Embassy in Santiago and the Indonesian Trade and Promotion Center (ITPC) Santiago participated in the first major health exhibition in Chile, Expo Salud 2024 at the Santiago Metropolitan Convention Center managed by Fisa. The exhibition carried the theme of digital transformation in the use of technology in the health sector, especially with regards to artificial intelligence and robotic medicine. The use of digital technology in health services is an important advancement for Chile in reaching and providing comprehensive health services to people in various remote areas of Chile.
Expo Salud 2024 was attended by 70 exhibitors from various countries who had the opportunity to showcase 240 brands of health products. At its participation, the Indonesian Embassy in Santiago introduced a number of medical device manufacturing companies, namely Oneject Indonesia, Haloni Jane, Sugih Instrumendo Abadi and an Indonesian herbal medicine manufacturer, Dami Sariwana.
Indonesian medical equipment products on display, such as superior innovations in injection needles in the form of smart syringes, safe syringes and miracle jex (needle-free injection), are of the highest quality and are not yet available in Chile.

The Indonesian booth received interest and enthusiasm from visitors from public and private healthcare facilities, beauty clinics and Chilean medical equipment importers/distributors who were interested in supplying disposable medical equipment such as injection needles, blood tubes and medical equipment from Indonesia in large quantities.
This request is in line with the efforts of the Government of Chile in the construction and acquisition of medical equipment for new hospitals in several regions of Chile.

The successful participation of Indonesian manufacturers at Expo Salud is supported by the Indonesian Association of Medical Device Manufacturers (ASPAKI), which actively encourages the market penetration of Indonesian medical devices in Latin America and the Caribbean, including Chile. The Indonesian Embassy in Santiago always welcomes opportunities and facilitates companies in the medical device sector to establish cooperation in the accredited country.
