A delegation organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economy (MOEA) has undertaken a mission to the United States to attract talent and encourage Taiwanese development.

In collaboration with the Taiwan Foreign Trade Development Council, this delegation brought together 23 Taiwanese companies, including Acer Inc., Asustek Computer Inc., Delta Electronics Inc. and AUO Corp., who offered more than 350 employment opportunities in a wide variety of positions.

The mission took place in the metropolitan areas of Los Angeles and San Francisco. According to the MOEA statement, the information sessions were held at the University of Southern California and San Jose State University, involving more than 400 potential candidates from the West Coast of the United States.

Additionally, delegates visited career development centers at Stanford University, the University of California at Berkeley and the University of California at Los Angeles to introduce the ContactTAIWAN portal and discuss the possibility of holding recruiting events on these campuses.

In parallel, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco organized an event attended by members of Taiwanese business and student associations in the area, with the purpose of providing up-to-date information on the nation’s high-tech sector and labor market. .

The MOEA highlighted that this mission has provided an effective platform for Taiwan’s high-tech companies in their search for top-level professionals. Furthermore, the Taiwanese Government intends to continue organizing similar events both locally and abroad.
