
High-level Chinese leaders participated on Wednesday in the deliberations of the third session of the 14th National Popular Assembly (APN), addressing topics such as economic growth, regional development and strengthening of internal demand.
Prime Minister Li Qiang emphasized the need for proactive measures to sustain economic recovery, highlighting tourism as a growth engine for Yunnan province. The highest legislator, Zhao Leji, asked Sichuan’s deputies to effectively implement the goals of the 14th five-year plan (2021-2025). Wang Huning, president of the Chinese People’s Political Advisory Conference, encouraged the private sector and promote sustainable development.
Ding Xuexiang, vice-prime minister, reinforced the importance of internal demand to boost Liaon’s economy, while Li Xi, head of the CCP’s disciplinary inspection, argued that high quality development is aligned with party construction in Fujian. Vice President Han Zheng, in turn, highlighted the need for innovation and technological self-sufficiency in Shandong.
Discussions reflect government’s efforts to boost sustainable and balanced growth, reinforcing the role of provinces in the advancement of China’s modernization.
