Chinese brand Juzui presented a collection at New York Fashion Week on Sunday inspired by the peony, a flower rooted in the East, according to the discretion of Taoray Wang, creative director of the brand.

Founded in 2001, Juzui presents women’s fashion designs inspired by oriental elements, especially flowers. The new design also used colors popular in China’s Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) to develop its designs.

“It’s exciting to combine the peony with every design in the collection,” Wang told Xinhua news agency. “China has an abundance of beautiful things that can impress international audiences, in addition to the dragon and the phoenix.”

“People should be traveling more between the United States and China than they are currently,” added Maye Musk, the model who closed the show. “I think Americans who travel to China will be very impressed.”
