Harbin, the capital of northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, received more than 10 million visitors during the Spring Festival holiday, an average daily increase of 82 percent from a year earlier, local authorities said on Sunday.
The city raked in 16 billion yuan ($11 billion) in tourism revenue during the eight-day holiday from Feb. 10 to 17, according to the city’s tourism department.
Looking to the future, Harbin will continue to integrate various resources such as tourist attractions, large-scale cultural activities, regional characteristic brands and cultural sites, and design tourism routes and products to help people better experience the city’s history and charm .
