China’s Ministry of Emergency Management reported on Sunday that R$4.3 billion (5.3 billion yuan) of central budget funds had been fully distributed, benefiting 30.9 million people affected by natural disasters.

The resources were directed to support local governments to help those affected cope during the winter and spring.

The ministry guided and supported local administrations in the accurate distribution of relief funds and materials, as well as improving coordination of policies and resources.

Given the predicted sharp drops in temperature, the agency will intensify monitoring of disasters in different regions, ensuring that all affected people remain safe and warm during the winter.
