Ingredients

  • 1 liter of milk

  • 1 cup cornstarch

  • 1 can of condensed milk

  • 1 glass of coconut milk (200ml)

  • 1 cup grated coconut (optional)

  • Sugar to taste (for the syrup)

Preparation mode

  • In a pan, dissolve the cornstarch in a little milk to avoid lumps.
  • Add the rest of the milk, condensed milk and coconut milk.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens. This may take around 10 to 15 minutes.
  • If you want, add grated coconut to the mixture and mix well.
  • While the delicacy is on the fire, prepare the syrup. In a pan, melt sugar until it turns golden, and then add a little hot water, stirring until it forms a syrup.
  • Pour the syrup into a pudding mold or individual pots.
  • Pour the manjar mixture over the syrup in the mold.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  • Unmold and serve!
