The final communiqué of the summit between the leaders of the three countries, baptized as “the spirit of Camp David”, mentions, in addition to the South China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, a self-governing island whose sovereignty China claims, and reaffirms the importance of “peace” and “stability” in that region, vital to international trade.

US President Joe Biden met this Friday with his South Korean counterpart, Yoon Suk Yeol, and Japanese Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, at Camp David, the presidential country residence in the state. from Maryland.
