  • Massa
  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into cubes

  • 1/4 cup ice water

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • Filling
  • 2 cans of drained tuna

  • 1 medium onion chopped

  • 1/2 cup chopped green or black olives (optional)

  • 1/2 cup green corn (optional)

  • 1/2 cup peas (optional)

  • 1 cup grated cheese (any cheese of your choice)

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of cream

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation mode

  • Mix the wheat flour and salt in a bowl.
  • Add the butter and mix until it forms a crumb texture.
  • Add the ice water little by little, mixing until the dough is homogeneous.
  • Form the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a bowl, mix the drained tuna, onion, olives, corn, peas and grated cheese.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Combine the egg mixture with the dry ingredients and set aside.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and line a tart pan (approximately 25 cm in diameter).
  • Pour the filling over the dough.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-45 minutes, or until the pie is golden and firm.
  • Let the pie cool slightly before slicing. Serve hot or at room temperature.
