  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup warm water

  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Preparation mode

  • In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour and salt.
  • Add the warm water gradually to the flour mixture, mixing well until a smooth dough forms.
  • On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 3-5 minutes, until it is soft and elastic.
  • Divide the dough into 8-10 small balls of the same size.
  • Using a rolling pin, roll out each ball of dough into thin circles, about 15-20 cm in diameter.
  • In a frying pan heated over medium heat, add a little vegetable oil.
  • Place a tortilla on the heated frying pan and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden and with some bubbles.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls, adding more oil to the pan as needed.
  • Stack the cooked tortillas on a plate, covering them with a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm.
  • Serve the tortillas warm or let them cool and store in an airtight container for later consumption.
