It is a versatile recipe that can be served for breakfast, lunch or as follow -up for other meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of pre-cooked cornflakes

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1 tsp of salt

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil or butter

  • 1 small chopped onion

  • 1 chopped tomatoes (seedless)

  • 1 grated carrot

  • 1/2 chopped pepper

  • 100g curd cheese or cubes

  • 100g of shredded dried meat or shredded chicken (optional)

  • Smelling smell chopped to taste

  • Black pepper and other spices to taste

Preparation mode

  • In a bowl, mix corn flakes with water and salt. Let stand for about 10 minutes for the flakes to absorb the water and get damp.
  • Put the cornflakes mixture in a couscous and bring to medium heat for about 10 to 15 minutes until the couscous is cooked and firm.
  • While the couscous cooks, heat the olive oil or butter in a pan and sauté the onion until transparent. Add tomatoes, carrots, peppers and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes until the vegetables soften lightly.
  • When the couscous is ready, release it with a fork and mix with the sautéed spices. If desired, add the shredded dried meat or chicken, along with the cubes cheese. Mix gently.
  • Season with black pepper and other spices of your choice. Finish with chopped green-smelling.
  • Serve the hot tempered couscous, such as main course or follow -up.
