Use the ingredients below and follow the preparation instructions to make your sweet potato cake amazing!


  • 2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

  • A bit of salt

Preparation mode

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the mashed sweet potatoes, oil, eggs and sugar. Stir well until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • In another bowl, mix the wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the sweet potato mixture, stirring well to combine all ingredients.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and level the surface.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
