Ingredients

  • 2 and 1/4 teaspoons of dry yeast (or 1 envelope)

  • 1 cup of warm water

  • 3 cups of wheat flour

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Preparation mode

  • In a small bowl, mix the dry yeast with the warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it begins to foam.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt and sugar.
  • Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the activated yeast and olive oil. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  • Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a bowl greased with olive oil. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  • Once the dough has risen, divide it into two parts. Roll out each part with a rolling pin on a floured surface until you have the desired shape for your pizza.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Add your favorite topping ingredients.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the topping ingredients are cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool a little, cut and serve!
