This simple chocolate cake is fluffy. Check out the step-by-step instructions and let’s follow the instructions to make it work!


  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 cup boiling water

Preparation mode

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a 23 cm round cake tin.
  • In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well.
  • In another bowl, beat the sugar, milk, oil, eggs and vanilla until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until the dough is well combined.
  • Add the boiling water to the dough and stir until well mixed. The dough will be liquid, but this is normal.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cold, you can decorate with chocolate icing, whipped cream or simply sprinkle icing sugar on top.
