The China Science and Technology Museum (CSTM), based in Beijing, announced on Sunday that 13 Provincial Science and Technology Museums have already adopted Artificial Intelligence Assistants (IA) to improve the experience of visitors. The initiative marks a new advance in the application of AI in educational and scientific dissemination environments.
The first assistant with AI in museums in the country was launched by CSTM in November 2024, combining popular scientific knowledge with technology with major language models. In addition to providing on -site guidance, the tool is able to remotely answer scientific questions asked by students, demonstrating their potential in multiple learning contexts.
Since March, CSTM has promoted technical workshops to support partner museums in creating their own knowledge basis and adapting assistants to the specificities of each institution.
According to a museum spokesman, it is expected that with the advancement of technology and the adherence of more institutions, it is possible to form an integrated and diverse ecosystem of intelligent assistants in museums across the country.
