Malaysia-based Sapura Energy has secured a contract to provide subsea services for the Petronas group of companies and oilfield contractors. Sapura Energy’s wholly owned subsidiary, Sapura Subsea Services, has been awarded the contract for the provision of subsea services throughout Malaysia.

The contract covers the supply of a diving support vessel (DSV), aerial and saturation diving systems, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and other related subsea services. These services include subsea inspection, repair and maintenance of offshore structures, pipelines and other equipment, as well as subsea abandonment, intervention and decommissioning works at PTTEP Sabah and PTTEP Sarawak subsea facilities in Sabah and Sarawak waters.

The contract, with a duration of five years from February 21, 2024 to February 20, 2029, is based on agreed unit rates and is expected to contribute positively to the profits of the Sapura Energy group of companies for the financial year to come. ends on January 31, 2025 and in subsequent years.

This agreement follows another contract recently won by Sapura Energy to provide subsea services throughout Malaysia to the Petronas group of companies and oilfield contractors. The previous contract, the value of which was not disclosed, commenced on January 31, 2024 and is expected to last until January 31, 2029. These awards reflect continued confidence in Sapura Energy’s ability to deliver high-quality subsea services in the region.
