  • 3 medium potatoes

  • 1 ovo

  • 3 tablespoons of wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (optional)

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Frying oil

Preparation mode

  • Peel and cut the potatoes into small pieces. Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water until tender.
  • Drain the potatoes and mash them in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Let the mashed potatoes cool slightly, then add the egg, wheat flour, grated cheese (if using), salt and black pepper. Mix well until a uniform dough forms.
  • Form small portions of the dough into balls.
  • In a pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  • When the oil is hot, fry the potato dumplings in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until they are golden and crispy on the outside.
  • Remove the fried potato dumplings from the pan and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Serve the potato dumplings hot, accompanied by sauces of your choice, such as mayonnaise, ketchup or barbecue sauce.
