Medical diagnostic facilities are often time-consuming and difficult to access. Justin Chan wants to counter that by putting diagnostic capabilities in everyone’s hands. His company Gense Technologies makes a low-cost, portable medical imaging device that allows people to monitor themselves for more than 50 common conditions, with particular applications in liver and lung health. The company is running a trial monitoring discharged Covid-19 patients for the Hong Kong government.
