Voice actress Kana Ichinose and manga author Murata will attend the anime’s event at “Ciao Fes x Ribon Mirai Festa Girls Comic Fes 2024” on August 11 at Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall D.
The anime will premiere in January 2025 on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block.

Akiko Waba (Blue Reflection Ray) is in charge of series composition, Aimi Tanaka (animation director for Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) is designing the characters, and Akira Kosemura (Ao no Orchestra) is in charge of composing the music.
The anime is being produced and planned by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS.
The story of Uka and Kai in Honey Lemon Soda
Honey Lemon Soda is a shojo manga written and illustrated by Mayu Murata. The story tells the life of Uka Ishimori, a shy and reserved girl who has been bullied in the past. Upon entering high school, she decides to change her life and overcome her fears.
At her new school, she meets Kai Miura, a popular boy with bright blonde hair who becomes her source of inspiration. As Uka struggles to open up and face her fears, she develops a friendship and eventually a romantic relationship with Kai.
“Honey Lemon Soda” was first published in Shueisha’s “Ribon” magazine in 2015. The manga has gained popularity among younger readers due to its heartwarming plot and character personalities.
Among other aspects, the manga has been well received for its realistic depiction of teenage challenges and interpersonal relationships. The work has managed to resonate with many readers, especially those who have faced similar problems to Uka’s.
