This Granulated Tapioca Cake is delicious. Check out the step-by-step preparation method and follow the instructions with the ingredients:


  • 2 cups of granulated tapioca

  • 2 cups of coconut milk

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • Shredded coconut (optional, for decoration)

Preparation mode

  • Start by placing the granulated tapioca in a large bowl.
  • Mix the coconut milk and milk and pour over the granulated tapioca. Stir well to ensure the tapioca is completely soaked in the liquids. Let the mixture rest for about 30 minutes, or until the tapioca has absorbed most of the liquid. You may stir from time to time to ensure even absorption.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin with butter and flour.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until you obtain a creamy and light mixture.
  • Add the melted butter and a pinch of salt to the egg and sugar mixture and stir well.
  • Mix the hydrated tapioca with the egg and sugar mixture and stir until all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Lastly, add the baking powder and mix gently.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 45-55 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and firm to the touch.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
  • If desired, decorate the cake with grated coconut before serving.
