Researchers from University of Beijing and from Shanxi University reached a significant advance in Integrated photonic quantum chipsdemonstrating for the first time the continuous-varying multiparty quantum entanglement and cluster states directly on the chip. The study was published in the magazine Nature and fills a fundamental gap in the development of these technologies, essential for Computing and Quantum Networks.
Os Photonic Quantum Chips allow to codify, process, transmit and store quantum information in an integrated manner, but the creation deterministic and scalable of cluster states has always been a challenge. In developing new techniques of pumping, control and measurementthe team got generate and manipulate complex quantum states in an experimentally reconfigurable and validated manner.
“This work represents a leap in integrated quantum technology and opens new possibilities for computing and quantum communication on a large scale,” he said Wang JianweiProfessor at the University of Beijing. The research also strengthens China’s position in the global race through Development of scalable quantum chipsfundamental for the next generation of computational technology.
