The National Archives of Publications and Culture of China (CNAPC) received, this Friday, new collections donated by public institutions and private collectors.
This latest donation marks the second of its kind since the CNAPC opened in July 2022, comprising more than 15,000 physical objects and an impressive 131 terabytes of digital data. The first donation took place in August 2023.
The new donation features diverse items such as original ancient texts, antique book publications and woodcuts. The collections are characterized by their high historical and cultural value.
Headquartered in Beijing with branches in Xi’an, Hangzhou and Guangzhou, CNAPC serves as a national repository of printing resources and genetic bank of Chinese culture. The entity is dedicated to preserving and inheriting national printing resources, aiming to become a national center for collections, exhibitions, research and related exchanges.
