Wu Qian, spokesman for China’s Ministry of National Defense, said China and Thailand will hold the Blue Strike 2023 joint naval training in the Gulf of Thailand and Sattahip in early September.
Wu noted that the training will cover sniper tactics, jungle survival, marine search and rescue and helicopter deck landing.
The aim of the training is to improve the training levels and coordination skills of participating troops, enhance practical cooperation between the two navies and strengthen their capabilities to jointly address threats to regional security, according to Wu.
