The 135th session of the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, opened this Monday in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province, in southern China.
As of Sunday, approximately 149,000 buyers from 215 countries and regions had completed pre-registration for the event, marking a notable increase of 17.4% compared to the previous edition.
Overseas buyers’ enthusiasm to participate has intensified, with a growing influx of buyers from the United States, Middle Eastern countries, countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, and member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
Scheduled to last until May 5th, the fair has around 74 thousand stands, with more than 29 thousand exhibitors expected to participate.
The exhibition, which covers an area of ​​1.55 million square meters, covers various sectors, including smart manufacturing, new energy vehicles, lithium batteries and solar cells.
Organizers have planned more than 600 trade promotion activities, further increasing the scope and reach of the fair.
