Uncomplicated to make, plantain farofa with bacon combines simplicity and delicious flavor!


  • 1/2 chopped onion

  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine

  • 2 cups of ready-made farofa

  • 2 cubed plantains

  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • 80g chopped bacon

  • Green scent to taste

Preparation mode

  • Fry the chopped bananas in a frying pan with butter or margarine until golden, remove and set aside.
  • In the same frying pan, add the chopped bacon, fry until golden and discard part of the fat released.
  • Add the chopped garlic and lightly brown it without stopping stirring. Add the onion and stir until wilted.
  • Add the bananas and mix. Add the chopped green chilli and mix quickly.
  • Reduce heat to low, add the ready-made farofa and let it fry quickly, stirring well.
  • Turn off the heat and the banana farofa with bacon is ready to be served.
