In an escalation of tensions in diplomatic relations between Canada and India, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made public statements claiming that Canadian intelligence had identified a “credible” link between the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian Sikh leader. 45 years old, and the Indian State.

In response to these diplomatic tensions, the Government of India has taken the decision to expel a senior Canadian diplomat posted in India, asking him to leave the country within the next five days.
