Mirbek Tlobek, 23, grew up in a family of Kazakh Ethnic Pastors in the Uiguur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang, northwestern China, dreaming of becoming a pilot. After completing his studies in 2023, he was able to intern at a general aviation company, where he obtained licenses to pilot helicopters, both privately and commercially.

Today, he works as a professional pilot in Narat, a tourist destination that has attracted a growing number of visitors interested in flying over the region and enjoying their natural landscapes. During the flights, in addition to presenting Xinjiang’s impressive mountains and rivers, Mirbek shares stories about the harmonious coexistence between different ethnic groups in the region and his own journey until he became a pilot.

Since obtaining his licenses, he has accumulated over 430 hours of flight and now intends to become an instructor. “My goal now is to win the instructor license to train new pilots and help others realize their dreams, just like me,” he said.
