On September 14, 2023, Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, hosted a dinner in honor of the Chief Negotiators of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) Partner Countries during the Round Negotiation Center in Bangkok at the Salathip Restaurant, Shangri-La Bangkok Hotel.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Chancellor welcomed the Chief Negotiators of the 14 IPEF partner countries. He reiterated the Royal Thai Government’s priorities in pursuing proactive economic diplomacy to enhance trade and investment opportunities.

He highlighted that Thailand looks forward to working with IPEF partners on the four pillars of the Framework to improve trade and investment rules, strengthen supply chain resilience and crisis response, advance climate action and the green transition, and promote the fight against corruption and fiscal transparency. Through collective efforts, IPEF partner countries could advance the negotiation and mutually enjoy the benefits of IPEF.

The Bangkok Round took place from September 10 to 16, 2023 at the Shangri-La Bangkok Hotel. The goal of the negotiation is to continue the progress made in the previous negotiation held in Busan, South Korea, in July 2023.
This Round was attended by approximately 650 delegates from Australia, Brunei, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, United States and Vietnam.
