Montenegro’s Court of Appeals has upheld a decision to extradite Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon to his home country of South Korea and rejected rival efforts to send him to the United States.
The decision announced today marks the latest twist in an ongoing legal odyssey involving Kwon, who faces extradition requests from both the United States and South Korea. The Podgorica-based court confirmed on its website that there are no further appeals against the decision.
This decision also supports the fast-track extradition procedure previously decided by another court in Montenegro.
Do Kwon’s lawyer, Goran Rodic, told Bloomberg that Montenegro would coordinate with Interpol to facilitate the extradition. Rodic expressed hope that the process would be completed “as quickly as possible.”
The decision is at the centre of international legal disputes, crypto para provides a solution to the jurisdictional dispute regarding giant Kwon.
Details of when Kwon will be extradited are expected to be clear in the coming days.
