Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1/2 cup of oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 2 cans of preserved sardines (in oil or water), drained and shredded

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 2 chopped tomatoes (without seeds)

  • 1/2 cup chopped olives

  • 1/2 cup green corn

  • 1/2 cup peas

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Chopped parsley and chives to taste

Preparation mode

  • In a blender, beat the eggs, milk, oil and salt.
  • Add the wheat flour little by little, beating until you get a homogeneous dough.
  • Lastly, add the yeast and mix gently with a spoon.
  • In a bowl, mix all the filling ingredients (sardines, onion, tomato, olives, corn, peas, parsley and chives). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Grease and flour a medium rectangular pan.
  • Pour half of the batter into the pan.
  • Distribute the filling over the dough.
  • Cover with the rest of the dough.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 40 minutes or until golden.
