Ingredients

500g of cleaned shrimp

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves of minced garlic

1 tablespoon butter or olive oil

1 can of cream

1/2 cup tomato sauce

1/2 cup ketchup
-
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup brandy or white wine (optional)

Chopped parsley for garnish
Preparation mode
- In a large skillet, heat the butter or olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until soft and translucent.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until they turn pink and opaque.
- If using cognac or white wine, add to the pan and flambé. Wait until the alcohol evaporates.
- Add the tomato sauce, ketchup and mushrooms (if using). Mix well.
- Reduce heat and add cream. Stir until sauce is well incorporated and heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the shrimp stroganoff hot, accompanied by white rice and straw potatoes.
- Finish with chopped parsley on top to decorate.
