Ingredients

  • 500g cleaned and peeled shrimp

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • White sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 small onion chopped

  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour

  • 500ml of milk

  • 1 box of cream (200g)

  • Salt, black pepper and nutmeg to taste

  • Grated parmesan cheese to taste (optional)

Preparation mode

  • Season the shrimp with lemon juice, salt, black pepper and chopped garlic. Leave to marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and cooked through. Book.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until soft and translucent.
  • Add the flour and stir well, cooking for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  • Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  • Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce begins to thicken.
  • Add the cream and season with salt, black pepper and nutmeg to taste.
  • If desired, add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and incorporated into the sauce.
  • Add the cooked prawns to the white sauce and mix well.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes for the flavors to come together.
  • Serve the shrimp in white sauce over a bed of white rice or pasta of your choice.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
