Ingredients

500g cleaned and peeled shrimp

Juice of 1 lemon

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons of butter

1 small onion chopped

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

2 tablespoons of wheat flour

500ml of milk

1 box of cream (200g)

Salt, black pepper and nutmeg to taste

Grated parmesan cheese to taste (optional)
Preparation mode
- Season the shrimp with lemon juice, salt, black pepper and chopped garlic. Leave to marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and cooked through. Book.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until soft and translucent.
- Add the flour and stir well, cooking for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce begins to thicken.
- Add the cream and season with salt, black pepper and nutmeg to taste.
- If desired, add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and incorporated into the sauce.
- Add the cooked prawns to the white sauce and mix well.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes for the flavors to come together.
- Serve the shrimp in white sauce over a bed of white rice or pasta of your choice.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
