Scaramucci Makes Huge Claim: “Gary Gensler Will Be Fired!”

SkyBridge founder Anthony Scaramucci has voiced his support for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, saying that Harris has both privately and publicly to cryptocurrencies stated that it was open.

The fact that Harris would even consider speaking at a Bitcoin conference signals a potential shift in the current administration’s approach to digital assets, according to Scaramucci.

Scaramucci suggests that there will be significant changes in the Harris administration, including the removal of Gary Gensler and the marginalization of Elizabeth Warren. “Harris is going to be much more moderate on crypto,” Scaramucci says, hinting at a more favorable environment for cryptocurrencies under Harris’ leadership.

Responding to criticism of Harris’ decision not to speak at the Bitcoin conference, Scaramucci said, “I see a lot of bad press about Kamala Harris’ decision not to speak at the Bitcoin conference. The message is, ‘Her administration is hostile to crypto, vote for Trump.’ But Trump called Bitcoin a ‘hoax’ as recently as 2022 and his administration has been hostile to digital assets. Trump has changed on this because he is a transactional person who sees the opportunity to raise funds/support.”

Scaramucci emphasized that Harris has consistently maintained an open-minded approach to crypto. “She did not make the decisions on crypto policy in the Biden administration. Harris and Warren are not friends. Gensler will be fired in the Harris administration and Warren will step aside as Chair of Financial Services. Let’s keep crypto bipartisan; it will be healthier for the ecosystem in the long run,” he added.

Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss, in turn, expressed disappointment in Harris’ decision to skip the Bitcoin conference. “Kamala Harris not attending the Bitcoin conference will not be forgotten,” Winklevoss warned. “The industry will show ‘no mercy’ in November,” he said, hinting at the potential political repercussions within the crypto community of Harris’s decision.
