Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang met with Chief of Staff Rui Costa on Friday in Beijing. Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, said that both China and Brazil are important representative countries of the Global South, calling the two good friends and good partners who march hand in hand.

Ding noted that under the strategic guidance of the leaders, the China-Brazil comprehensive strategic partnership has shown a vigorous momentum of development, with political mutual trust being constantly consolidated and new progress made in exchanges and cooperation from various fields.

China stands ready to work with Brazil to seriously act on the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, and seize the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to constantly expand the depth, breadth and height of mutually beneficial cooperation and promote bilateral ties to a new level, Ding said.

Costa said Brazil highly values ​​China and regards China as a reliable long-term partner, expressing hope to make joint efforts to make bilateral relations more strategic and comprehensive.
