The ingredients needed to prepare your ribs are as follows:
Ingredients
-
1 kg of pork ribs cut into pieces
-
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
-
1 large chopped onion
-
1 tablespoon paprika (sweet or spicy)
-
1 teaspoon cumin powder
-
1 bay leaf
-
2 tablespoons soy sauce
-
Juice of 1 lemon
-
1/2 cup of water
-
Salt and black pepper to taste
-
2 tablespoons of oil or olive oil
Preparation mode
- In a large bowl, season the ribs with garlic, onion, paprika, cumin, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well so that all the pieces are well coated with the seasonings.
- Leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes so that the meat absorbs the flavors well. If possible, leave it to marinate for longer in the refrigerator.
- In a pressure cooker, heat the oil or olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the ribs little by little, sealing all sides until they are golden. This helps keep the juices in the meat, making it more flavorful.
- After sealing all the ribs, place them all in the pressure cooker.
- Add the bay leaf and water. If you prefer a thicker sauce, use less water.
- Cover the pan and, as soon as it starts to come to pressure, reduce the heat and cook for 25 to 30 minutes.
- After the cooking time, turn off the heat and wait for the pressure to release naturally.
- Open the pan and check the meat for doneness. It should be very soft and falling away from the bone.
- If you prefer, leave the pan on the heat for a few more minutes without the lid to thicken the sauce and make it thicker.
- Serve the ribs with the sauce formed in the pan. Serve with white rice, mashed potatoes, farofa or salad.
