Petrobras announced a protocol of intentions with the state-owned China National Chemical Energy Company (CNCEC), which covers several areas, with an emphasis on renewable energy and the energy transition.
In a statement, the Brazilian company stated that the partnership also provides for the evaluation of possible commercial agreements in the areas of oil exploration, production of fertilizers from natural gas and other sources, production development, refining, biorefining and petrochemicals, engineering, construction and services, as well as research, development and innovation.
The agreement will last for two years and will be activated immediately with the joint analysis of fertilizer and petrochemical assets. The signing ceremony was attended by the president of Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, and the president of CNCEC Brasil, Wei Wang.
