Xie Xin’s parents didn’t think dance would be a worthwhile career, but she has proven them wrong. After a lauded contemporary dance career in China’s top troupes, including the renowned Guangdong Modern Dance Company, she set up her own company, Xiexin Dance Theater. She was recently crowned the second-season champion of the Chinese dance competition show Dance Smash.
