It is hard to define what Farm is, seeing as it considers itself an architecture atelier, community-centred arts organisation and an online gift retailer. But at the heart of it all is a dedication to good design, says 38-year-old director Selwyn Low, who helms the company, along with fellow architects Peter Sim, Tiah Nan Chyuan and Torrance Goh. The company's accomplishments speak for themselves: it launched co-living and co‑working space Lyf for Ascott, completed boutique hotel The Great Madras, and collaborated with numerous local designers to produce art, furniture, and more. Keeping Selwyn busy now are the community‑based serviced apartments Lyf Funan and the new Government Technology Agency of Singapore office.
